PHILIP HUANG T-SHIRTS

The t-shirt is probably one of the simplest and most utilitarian articles of clothing ever created. Originally, conceived as an under garment for men it has become a uniform for many for  generations now. For Philip Huang, it is a staple and forms the basis of everything, it is a quintessential part of the personal uniform. As a result  we went to the drawing board and designed a t-shirt as many brands and designers before us have and created what is to us, the perfect one- light weight, roomy, soft, 100% organic and in a range of colours literally found in nature. From our white t-shirts, the very basic one we started with we  went on to collaborate with our original Sakon Nakhon indigo grandmas and another village in Chaiyapoom also known for their expertise in natural dyes and weaving. Our Chaiyapoom grandmas dye t-shirts for us using a range of plants and flowers that are found in their locale, in the jungle and on the farm, sometimes even their very own backyard.
